Kindle includes some lovely Experimental features. One of the most useful is having instant access to Wikipedia.org, using the Basic Web Browser. You can see this app in action here.
There are three ways you can access Wikipedia from your Kindle:

  1. Open the Basic Web Browser, and enter the Wikipedia URL directly. (If you’re not sure how to do this, read first Kindle How-To: Launch the Experimental Web Browser)
  2. Access Wikipedia from Kindle Bookmarks: just press the “Menu button” when the Basic Web browser is on the screen and select “Bookmarks”.
  3. Launch Basic Web via search: Type in a word anytime from any book, blog, newspaper, or magazine; when you begin typing, a search box will pop up at the bottom of the screen, then select “wikipedia” to search directly for the word you typed.
